Questions to Ask

- Each Vendor you select, you should understand their Covid-19 Policies as well as their postponement policies.  As a bride and groom hosting a wedding you need to be aware of what limitations you might have when postponing with that vendor and/or venue.

- When it comes to the venue, its important to understand their Force Majeure clause and additionally their Covid-19 policies, postponement policies and how they would manage their event day.  Venues are usually the bride and groom’s largest cost for their Wedding & Reception so understanding the details for this specific vendor is very important.

- As you gather the information about which guests are comfortable attending, it is important to understand what would make them comfortable to attend and most importantly if a mask is required will they oblige and wear one.  As you plan your wedding it is important to consider the variety of safety measures you as a bride and groom will be taking.  Will you provide guests masks, hand sanitizers, and/or require them to socially distance?

- Should your contracted vendor not be available for your new Wedding & Reception date, then it is important to understand what happens with the deposit you have provided.  Will they allow you to apply that deposit for future events?  Is the deposit transferable to someone else?  Is there another team member at the company that can produce the event?  How many months or years do you have till your deposit expires?

- What Event Day pre-cautions are your vendor teams taking to ensure the safety of their team and your guests?  You may also request specific safety precautions if they are needed.

- As a bride and groom you may decide to have an Intimate Wedding on your original date all the while postponing the big party, which is a great way to still celebrate your union.  It is best to ask your Vendor and Venues how this would impact your current proposal in regards to costs.
