INSIGHTS : WEDDING PLANNING DURING A PANDEMIC & RE-OPENING
As you navigate the current climate as an Engaged Couple, we understand the enormity of options you are faced with. Planning a wedding can be daunting under normal circumstances, so understandably it could feel quite overwhelming during a Pandemic. We want to share how to navigate your Wedding Planning during the Coronavirus as parts of our cities and society begin to re-open. As parts of the economy re-open it provides a great sense of relief that some parts of our lives are starting to feel normal again, albeit a new normal. Understanding what that new normal for your Wedding Ceremony & Reception is the key to a successful event.
Celebrating your wedding ceremony can still be exciting and romantic for you and your families. As the bride and groom you can have a beautiful intimate wedding (mirco-wedding) with your closest 20 guests for a Wedding Ceremony and intimate dinner. A larger wedding & reception could be possible as well based on your city, county and Venue regulations. Most definitely as a couple you will need to consider the health and well being of your guests as well as yourselves. We suggest providing mini hand sanitizers to your guests at ceremony & dinner as well as letting them know that wearing masks is completely acceptable and if not suggested. As part of that new normal, many of your vendor team members will be wearing masks to protect you and your guests. Another way to ensure everyone’s safety is temperature checks upon arrival to ensure everyone is feeling well and healthy.
The best part of a Wedding celebration, other than the bride and groom of course, is the food and socialization. Understanding that social distancing might be needed we recommend creating long kings tables for large families who regularly interact with each other and then more intimate smaller rounds for those who have a smaller circle at this time. In terms of food service, as a bride and groom you can provide an elevated dinner experience with a two or three course plated meal so that you and your guests can maximize the time to be with each other. As your guests enjoy their curated dinner, as a couple you can still enjoy your first dance, cake cutting and the opportunity to hear your loved ones say a few words about you both. Creating an event of this style outside under the blue skies and all completed by sunset will also provide a larger layer of comfort and safety to your guests. If a a larger celebration is what you are hoping for with a full dance floor and band, we understand and it is always possible once the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
If tying the knot and being married to the one you love the most is your priority we got you covered. Elopements are a great way to have four of your nearest family and/or friends present at your Elopement Ceremony. The socially distant yet incredibly personal and intimate event will be sure to leave a lasting memory with the four others you share the Ceremony with. Many of those who could not be a part of the celebration in person can always join virtually.
Virtual Wedding Planning is a great way for any couple to get the support they need to plan their wedding ceremony & reception during this climate.
